You saw that beautiful Brazilian Collings Clarence White that was here a short while before moving on to a very pleased new owner. Here's the next best thing for the flatpicker with a little less loose change rattling around in the pockets...the genuine mahogany/Adirondack, no tongue brace, enlarged soundhole, Clarence/Tony signature dalmation pickguard Collings Winfield, heir apparent to the Collings Clarence White series. Powerful and loud with a very open sound and just the right amount of mahogany warmth, this one excels at the function for which it was built - strong bass runs and cutting flatpicking lead lines. Plays like a dream and is quite loud with the current Elixir PB mixed medium/light set. I think it would qualify as a bona fide banjo-killing cannon with the little extra oomph that mediums all the way would provide. In excellent to near mint condition, and a great addition to the site that's going to a whole lot of fun to have around for the short while before some Tony Rice wannabe takes it home!
