The D-2H is one of the most popular Collings models, and it's easy to see why. This guitar is a perfect example of the Collings tone - somewhat compressed and more balanced than a typical Martin, with strong, fat trebles and a loud, distinct presence. A few years of playing has helped this one open up and I found it more responsive and less tight than a typical new Collings dread. Several dings and light scratches from being played and enjoyed, the most visible being a chunk of missing finish on the back of the peghead that appears to be from one very angry string winder. The always comfortable Collings neck profile and a pretty Sitka top that's beginning to orange as Sitka should. The strap button is already installed in the proper place and this one's ready to be gigging again.
