This vintage Martin dread was featured numerous times on the Pennsylvania television station WARD with its original owner, a country singer named Ernie Hribar. We acquired this guitar from Ernie's estate sale in its personalized (and consequently undesirable to both collectors and players) condition with massive 1/4" thick black pickguards and Ernie's name painted on the fretboard. Highly regarded luthier Bryan Kimsey did a complete overhaul/restoration that included removal of the pickguard and heavy adhesives, new TorTis pickguard, neck reset, fretboard planning, refret, new bone nut, tuner cleanup and lube, and a platemate added to protect the original bridge plate. Now this all original (except for the pickguard) guitar is ready to make beautiful music for another 50 years.
