It's been a little while since a Bourgeois came through...I'd almost forgotten how fine the instruments that come out of Dana's shop really are! The DS-260 model is a fairly new one from the Pantheon/Bourgeois guys. It draws its design inspiration from the earliest Martin dreadnoughts, so you get cool details like the slothead and rounded shoulders, as well as the 12 fret configuration that only lasted until 1934 originally. This one's jazzed up with the highly unique Martin Simpson style cutaway, which gives the guitar an ultra cool mix of the highly traditional and the highly modern. In excellent condition, this guitar's been played but doesn't have much of anything to show for it. Be sure to listen to the sound clip as this one's got great tone - loud and full, with typical Bourgeois balance. This is a great jam guitar...nobody else is going to have one like it, and the volume and smooth, round tone you'll pull out of this thing is going to make an impression, to say the least! ***If it's not clear by now, I really like this guitar! Also, be sure to note the gorgeous Adi top. I have no idea where Dana finds these fabulous tops...coloration this clear and even is very hard to get these days. Recently reduced and definitely priced to move - list price on this guitar if ordered today would be in the neighborhood of $4895. |
