What's better than a Collings OM-2H? A Collings OM-2H with the depth of a dreadnought, of course. If you love the versatile tone of the popular OM-2H but want that little extra "oomph" and enhanced bass response, consider this cool variation on an old standard. That extra inch (plus or minus) doesn't make a big difference as far as comfort goes since the smaller lower bout and deeper waist of an OM still fits the average body better than a dreadnought, but it does give a little more when it comes to tone. This particular instrument is as new, having been played very little by the original owner before he decided a gorgeous Rockbridge Slope D would meet his needs a little better. Since it's a Collings, it goes without saying that the woods are high quality and the workmanship is flawless. The rosewood/spruce OM configuration is always popular with both flatpickers and fingerstyle players, and with this one you get a little more of a good thing, whichever your playing style! |
