Unless otherwise noted, standard ground shipping rates to addresses in the continental United States are those listed in the table below. Our actual shipping costs will almost always be higher than the standard rate charged, but we'll pick up the difference for any buyer in the contiguous 48. For buyers in Alaska and Hawaii and international clients, additional shipping fees may be assessed. The amount of these extra shipping charges will vary on a case-by-case basis but will generally correspond to the difference between the actual shipping costs and the standard shipping costs.

Here at GuitarMatch.com, we recognize that fine guitars are not commodities and an instrument must be experienced firsthand to ensure that it is your perfect match. Unfortunately, however, the risk and expense of shipping guitars around the world necessitates a return policy that is generous but fair to both parties in each transaction.
Upon receiving any non-defective instrument or accessory, you have 72 hours in which to verify that the item meets your expectations, with the exception of highly customized guitars. Please verify beforehand if your guitar order would fall under this designation. If your instrument does not meet your expectations for any reason, contact us within the 72 hour period to obtain a return authorization. The instrument or accessory must then be shipped back to GuitarMatch.com, insured for your protection, at your expense. After we receive the undamaged item, we will refund your purchase price minus the standard shipping cost from the above chart or will typically give store credit for the full purchase price towards the purchase of another instrument or accessory.
After the 72 hour period has elapsed but within 6 months of your purchase date, you may still return an instrument in many cases. Contact us to receive a return authorization, then ship the guitar back to us, insured, at your expense. Upon receipt of the guitar in sellable condition we will give you your original purchase price minus a 30% restocking fee in store credit, which can be used towards the purchase of another instrument or accessory.
If it's been longer than 6 months and you'd like to return your instrument, please check out our Trade-In and Consignment policies.
In the event that an instrument or accessory is damaged in shipping, please call us immediately at 317-509-4247. Do not send the item back to us without authorization as that may void the terms of the shipment insurance that will likely cover the damage caused.
If your instrument or accessory arrives in a condition different than was described, please contact us immediately. After determining the nature of the defect, we will make all efforts to arrive at a mutually agreeable solution. This may include a partial refund or an offer to return and/or replace the item at our expense.
Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction and whenever possible, we will do whatever it takes to ensure that we can add your story to our list of successful matches.
